On Yoly Cuello's program, retired Colonel Manuel Supervielle shared where he was when the September 11, 2001 attacks occurred and reflected on the course of global security 24 years later. “I was on a flight to Bogotá when, while in Panama, we saw the Twin Towers collapsing. It was an enormous shock,” he recalled.
Supervielle questioned the concept of the “war on terrorism,” arguing that “terrorism is a method of using violence, not an enemy in itself.” According to the retired military officer, that oversimplification led to prolonged conflicts and the destabilization of the international order.
